How will we #KeepBuilding?

Sports Infrastructure

Execute existing infrastructure projects

We have $19 million in infrastructure improvements in the pipeline — from stormwater drainage systems and sidewalks to wastewater treatment upgrades and new meter technology — that will make our community safer and more connected.

Increase opportunities for sports tourism

We’re missing a significant opportunity to attract new visitors to Somerset and provide resources for our residents by not having facilities that can accommodate travel sports leagues. Between 2015-2019, sports tourism spending increased 16.7% in the United States. We can boost our local economy by opening the door to this sector.

    Engage in workforce development initiatives

There are a record number of jobs in America and fewer people to fill them. It is imperative we create opportunities for every person who wants to work. By embracing these opportunities, we can keep our students at home after college and have a significant impact on drug use and homelessness in our community.

    Recruit new housing developments

As our community continues to grow, we must diversify the options for people who want to live here. We need new, improved and more affordable options for young families, young professionals and retirees who choose to call this region home.
